Rincon., GA (December 20, 2024) – A six-car crash took the life of one person in Rincon on Friday night, December 20. Responders were dispatched to the scene at the intersection of Highway 21 and Brentwood Drive after receiving reports concerning the incident.

Preliminary reports show a female driver ran the red light at the intersection while speeding, causing the six-car accident. One involved driver lost their life, though they have not been identified at this time. Traffic was backed up in both directions on Highway 21, according to information provided by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office. ESCO also confirmed that Life Star responded to the scene.
