Macon, GA - Christopher Davis Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Knoxville Rd

Macon, GA (May 9, 2025) – A pedestrian lost their life after a fatal traffic accident in Macon during the early morning hours on Thursday, May 8. According to information provided by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the wreck took place in the 7300 block of Knoxville Road at approximately 12:45 a.m.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a 53-year-old man unresponsive. BSO said a driver headed south on Knoxville Road in a Plymouth SUV struck the man while he was walking in the same direction on the road. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Bibb County Deputy Coroner. He was identified as Christopher Davis. Davis died of blunt force trauma, according to reports. Police in Macon continue to investigate the details of the collision.
