Valdosta, GA (November 4, 2024) – A collision in Valdosta took the life of one woman and hurt several others on Sunday, November 3, according to the Valdosta Police Department (VPD).

At approximately 1:15 a.m., police, fire crews, and EMS were sent to the intersection of Barack Obama Boulevard near Eastwind Road, where authorities say a collision caused injuries. Once responders arrived at the scene, several individuals were found with injuries, along with a passenger vehicle and a pickup truck with serious damage. Two occupants of a sedan were transported to South Georgia Medical Center with injuries. However, VPD reports that a 24-year-old female passenger inside the sedan lost her life at the hospital due to the extent of her injuries. Police in Valdosta continue to investigate.
