Thomas Co., GA (January 1, 2025) – A pedestrian lost their life in a traffic accident on Monday, December 30, in Thomas County. Reports show the wreck involved a semi-truck on US-19 North near Egg and Butter Road. Several responders were sent to the scene at around 7:45 p.m., shortly after the incident. Police say the incident occurred near the River Wood Store when a male pedestrian was struck by a tractor-trailer. When responders arrived at the scene, they found the pedestrian had already lost his life due to the extent of his injuries. The victim’s name has not been reported as police continue to investigate.
