Georgia Car Crashes

Harris Co., GA - Major Auto Accident on I-185 near Exit 19Traffic accidents remain a major concern across Georgia, with more than 300,000 crashes reported each year. These collisions result in hundreds of thousands of injuries and, tragically, thousands of deaths, many of which could have been prevented.

A leading cause behind these incidents is driver negligence, which accounts for over 90% of all traffic accidents in the United States, according to recent research. Common negligent behaviors that continue to plague our roads include:

  • Driving while intoxicated
  • Using a phone or other distractions behind the wheel
  • Driving while drowsy
  • Exceeding the speed limit

To illustrate the severity, speeding contributes to over 12,000 traffic-related deaths annually, while distracted driving causes more than 400,000 accidents each year. These reckless actions often lead to high-impact crashes that leave victims with severe or even life-threatening injuries.

Recovering from such accidents can be physically, emotionally, and financially exhausting. Medical bills pile up, income is lost, and quality of life may be drastically altered, all because of someone else’s poor decisions.
