Augusta, GA (October 26, 2024) – A car crash happened in Augusta on the afternoon of October 24 that ended in injuries.

Sources say the wreck occurred at around 1:14 p.m. on the Gordon Highway near Bayvale Road. Approximately 14 law enforcement officials were present at the crash scene shortly after the incident happened. Reports from authorities show a white Chevrolet Impala had been t-boned, causing a power pole to fall and the light at the intersection to go out. Additionally, a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office patrol car was involved in the crash. Those with injuries were taken to area hospitals for further care. However, the exact number of injured victims has not been reported thus far. Police in Augusta continue to investigate the details of the incident.
