Georgia Auto Accidents
Every year, a significant number of traffic accidents happen in the state of Georga. The state sees approximately 300,000 yearly collisions that injure thousands of people. Unfortunately, the majority of car accidents in the Peach State are caused by negligent drivers who engage in dangerous behaviors while behind the wheel.
Negligent driving has become a serious problem in the United States, especially in recent years. Information provided by the NHTSA shows that roughly four out of five reported auto accidents happen due to the actions of negligent drivers. Some of the most common forms of negligent driving seen on American roadways today include:
- Distractions, like using a phone
- Speeding
- Intoxicated driving
- Fatigue
In just one year, speeding caused more than 12,000 deaths in the United States. Additionally, driver distraction was behind over 3,000 deaths. Collisions caused by the actions of negligent drivers are often more dangerous and deadly than wrecks that happen for other reasons, which highlights the importance of staying awake, alert, focused, and aware while operating a vehicle.
