Alpharetta, GA (June 19, 2025) — A tragic incident unfolded on GA 400 Wednesday afternoon, leaving one man dead after he was struck by a vehicle.
According to the Alpharetta Police Department, the collision occurred around 3 p.m. near the Old Milton Parkway overpass. Authorities say the man had climbed a fence before entering the highway, where he was then hit by a passing vehicle.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene and transported the man to a nearby hospital, but he later died from his injuries.
The incident forced a partial shutdown of the roadway for approximately two hours as investigators worked at the scene. All lanes were reopened by 5 p.m.
Police have not released the identity of the man or indicated whether any charges are expected. The circumstances surrounding why he entered the roadway remain unclear as the investigation continues.
