Five Hurt After Vehicle Crashes Into QuikTrip on Lawrenceville Hwy

Lilburn, GA (December 21, 2025) – Five people suffered injuries on Friday, December 20, after an elderly woman crashed her vehicle into a QuikTrip gas station in Lilburn. The collision happened around 7:30 p.m. on Lawrenceville Highway.

When first responders arrived, they found five people hurt, including two young children, ages 3 and 9. Paramedics rushed both children to a nearby hospital for urgent care. Three adults were also injured, and at least one was transported for additional medical treatment.

The driver, a woman around 70 years old, stayed at the scene and cooperated with police officers. Authorities said they do not believe impairment played a role in the crash.

Officers closed the area for several hours while they investigated how the vehicle slammed into the building. Investigators gathered evidence and spoke with witnesses to piece together what led up to the collision. The Gwinnett County Police Department continues to investigate the crash.

Car Accidents in Georgia

Five Hurt After Vehicle Crashes Into QuikTrip on Lawrenceville HwyGeorgia records hundreds of thousands of crashes each year, with many occurring in commercial areas like Lawrenceville Highway in Lilburn. According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, the state sees more than 400,000 vehicle collisions each year. These crashes often lead to serious injuries, emotional trauma, and costly property damage.

Accidents involving elderly drivers can sometimes be caused by medical emergencies, medication effects, or slower reaction times. • Emergency medical care and hospitalization
  • Lost income during recovery
  • Pain, suffering, and emotional distress
  • Rehabilitation and long-term care needs
