Waynesboro, GA - Deadly Three-Car Crash on Hwy 24 near Thomspon Bridge Rd

Waynesboro, GA (January 31, 2025) – A three-car crash turned fatal in Waynesboro on January 31. At approximately 8:11 a.m., the incident was reported to police and EMS who promptly responded to the scene. Authorities say the wreck occurred on Georgia Highway 24 South near Thompson Bridge Road. The collision involved a log truck, a pickup truck and another vehicle.

At this time, the cause of the accident is under police investigation. At least one person lost their life in the accident, as the Burke County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene. No one involved has currently been identified, as police continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the wreck.
