One Injured in Two-Car Crash at DeRenne Ave and Bull St

Savannah, GA (November 11, 2025) – The Savannah Police Department responded to a two-vehicle collision on Monday, November 10, that left one person injured near the intersection of DeRenne Avenue and Bull Street. The crash occurred around 6:04 p.m., prompting an emergency response and temporary traffic disruption in the area.

According to SPD officials, two vehicles collided while traveling through the busy intersection during evening rush hour. Emergency medical personnel arrived on scene within minutes and provided immediate assistance to those involved. One individual sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment. The severity of the injuries has not yet been disclosed.

Traffic along DeRenne Ave was delayed as law enforcement and cleanup crews worked to clear the scene and reopen the roadway. Both vehicles sustained visible damage and were later towed from the site. Police officers directed traffic and gathered witness statements while investigating the sequence of events that led to the crash.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation. However, preliminary findings suggest that one vehicle may have failed to yield while entering the intersection.

Local commuters were urged to use alternate routes until the intersection was cleared later that evening. Savannah police officials reminded drivers to remain alert and exercise extra caution at intersections, especially during peak travel hours when traffic volume is highest.

We wish the injured individual and everyone involved a full and speedy recovery.

Car Accidents Collisions in Georgia

One Injured in Two-Car Crash at DeRenne Ave and Bull St

Intersection-related crashes are one of the leading causes of serious injuries and fatalities across Georgia. According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, intersections account for more than 30% of all reported car accidents statewide each year. Many of these incidents are caused by driver inattention, speeding, or failure to obey traffic signals.

In areas like Savannah, where intersections such as DeRenne Ave and Bull St experience heavy traffic flow, even a momentary lapse in attention can result in a devastating crash. Drivers approaching intersections must remain alert, follow signal indications, and yield appropriately to avoid collisions.
