Rome, GA - Fatal Crash on E Rome Bypass near Wilbanks Rd

Rome, GA (November 10, 2024) – A fatal traffic accident happened in Rome just before 7:00 a.m. Reports from authorities show the incident occurred on the East Rome Bypass just west of Wilbanks Road.

Police say that a 2011 Nissan Armada operated by 40-year-old Tiffany Nicole Smith crossed the median and crashed into a 2010 Ford F-150. The Ford was operated by 45-year-old Silver Creek resident Timothy Dewayne Reynolds. Smith, the operator of the Armada, was pronounced deceased on-site. Two juveniles in her vehicle and Reynolds were taken to area hospitals to be treated for injuries they sustained in the crash. At this time, their medical conditions have not been reported. Police in Rome continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
