Macon, GA (May 6, 2025) – A tragic multi-vehicle collision on Hawkinsville Road in the early hours of Tuesday, May 6, has resulted in one fatality.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office reports that the crash occurred just before 3 a.m. near the intersection of North Avalanche Circle. A driver traveling along Hawkinsville Road collided with a motorcycle, leading to the rider’s death.
The motorcyclist, a 60-year-old man from Macon, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Bibb County Coroner. Authorities have not yet released his name, pending notification of his family. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.
