Hinesville, GA (January 20, 2025) – A motorcyclist from Long County lost their life in a traffic accident that occurred on Friday night, January 17. The Hinesville Police Department reports that the motorcyclist was headed west on West Oglethorpe Highway just before 6:00 p.m. when a GMC Yukon SUV was turning left from Mattie Street onto West Oglethorpe. The motorcycle was then involved in a crash with a Yukon.

First responders worked to help the injured motorcyclist at the scene, but she succumbed to her injuries a short time later. Police in Hinesville continue to investigate the details of the collision.
