Gainesville, GA (December 10, 2025) – Four people suffered injuries on Tuesday evening, December 9, after a chain-reaction crash involving four vehicles along GA 365 near White Sulphur Road.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, several northbound vehicles were traveling in the left lane just after 6 p.m. when traffic began to slow near a light. A 2005 Acura MDX driven by 27-year-old Libby Couch of Cornelia failed to stop in time and struck the vehicle in front, setting off a series of rear-end collisions involving three other cars.
The impact injured Couch, her passenger, and the driver of the first vehicle struck. Paramedics transported them to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for further care, while another person received medical treatment at the scene.
Crews cleared the debris and directed traffic as investigators examined the crash site to understand exactly how the collision unfolded. The Georgia State Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the wreck.
Our hearts are with the victims, and we wish them a full and steady recovery.
Multi-Vehicle Accidents in Georgia
Multi-vehicle crashes are among the most dangerous types of roadway incidents in Georgia. They often happen on high-speed routes like GA 365, where heavy traffic and sudden slowdowns can turn one mistake into a serious chain reaction. In many cases, drivers and passengers suffer severe trauma that requires extensive medical treatment and months of rehabilitation.
Common factors behind these collisions include following too closely, sudden braking, and poor visibility. When one vehicle crashes into another at highway speeds, the force often pushes several cars together, compounding the damage and increasing the risk of head injuries, spinal trauma, or internal bleeding. These injuries can leave victims unable to work, care for their families, or return to normal life without significant medical support.
The emotional and financial toll can be overwhelming. Victims may face rising hospital bills, ongoing therapy, and lost wages while trying to recover from their injuries. When another driver’s negligence contributes to a multi-vehicle crash, Georgia law allows victims to pursue compensation for their medical expenses, lost income, pain and suffering, and long-term care needs.
Dealing with insurance companies after a serious collision can be difficult, especially when multiple drivers are involved. A skilled car accident lawyer handles every step of your case, from investigating the crash to negotiating with insurance companies, so you can focus on healing.
