Fulton Co., GA (June 30, 2025) — A tragic crash on Interstate 85 northbound claimed the life of a motorcyclist on Monday morning, June 30, in northeast Atlanta, authorities confirmed.
The collision occurred just after 7 a.m. near Lindbergh Drive beneath the Georgia 400 overpass. According to the Georgia State Patrol, the rider of a 1997 BMW motorcycle was traveling north on I-85 when the crash occurred involving a 2019 Honda C-HR.
The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and died at the scene. Officials have not yet released the identity of the victim.
Emergency responders, including Georgia State Patrol, Atlanta Fire Rescue, HERO units, and the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office, arrived quickly to secure the area and begin their investigation. A tow truck removed one vehicle from the scene, while the motorcycle remained near responding units as authorities worked.
