Georgia Tractor-Trailer Collisions

Dooly Co., GA - Five-Car Crash Injures Three on I-75 near Milepost 117Georgia sees over 300,000 traffic accidents every year, with hundreds of crashes occurring daily on highways, rural roads, and city streets. These accidents lead to more than 130,000 injuries and over 1,000 fatalities annually, placing Georgia among the states with the highest collision rates in the country.

If you’ve been injured in a car crash, seeking legal help can make a crucial difference. A personal injury attorney can guide you through the claims process and help you pursue compensation for mounting medical bills, lost wages, and the emotional toll of the accident.

Negligent driving remains the top cause of collisions both in Georgia and nationwide. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) estimates that more than 92% of all traffic crashes are the result of human error—most commonly speeding, texting behind the wheel, impaired driving, or driving while fatigued. These preventable acts can leave victims with life-changing injuries, chronic pain, and ongoing financial strain.

Tractor-trailer and semi-truck crashes are especially devastating. Due to their immense size and weight, these vehicles can cause catastrophic damage in the event of a collision. In 2022 alone, nearly 6,000 people in the U.S. lost their lives in accidents involving large trucks, and thousands more were seriously hurt. When passenger vehicles are involved in crashes with tractor-trailers, occupants often suffer traumatic brain injuries, spinal damage, internal injuries, or broken bones—injuries that can take months or years to recover from.
