Georgia Car Crashes
Every year, thousands of people across Georgia suffer life-altering injuries in car accidents. From high-speed collisions on busy interstates to sudden crashes on rural backroads, these incidents can result in serious physical harm, emotional trauma, and overwhelming financial strain. With more than 1,500 crashes resulting in injuries every week, the risk on Georgia’s roads is real—and often preventable.
Injuries from auto accidents can range from broken bones and concussions to spinal cord damage and traumatic brain injuries. Victims often face a long road to recovery, including hospital stays, rehabilitation, and time away from work. All the while, medical bills and insurance stress can pile up quickly.
According to data from the Georgia Department of Transportation, some of the most common causes of injury-related crashes include:
- Speeding and Aggressive Driving
- Texting and Other Distracted Behaviors
- Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs
- Driver Fatigue
- Running Red Lights or Failing to Yield
