DeKalb Co., GA (April 7, 2025) – Two kids and two adults, along with a DeKalb County police officer, all suffered injuries in an early morning accident in DeKalb County on Saturday, April 6. The head-on accident took place just before 7:30 a.m. on East Ponce De Leon Avenue between Rays Road and Hambrick Road.

Three vehicles were reportedly involved in the collision that occurred when an eastbound driver reportedly attempted to pass another vehicle by crossing the double yellow line. That vehicle ended up striking two other vehicles and a police vehicle headed in the opposite direction. Five people were transported to the hospital with injuries. The children were identified as an 8-year-old and a 13-year-old. Police in DeKalb County continue to investigate the details of the collision.
