Georgia Car Accidents
Georgia experiences a high volume of traffic accidents yearly, with over 300,000 reported crashes. These accidents resulted in more than 150,000 injuries and, tragically, thousands of lives lost. Many of these incidents are preventable, as they are often caused by negligent driving.
Negligent driving continues to be a serious problem across the United States, with studies indicating that more than 94% of traffic accidents involve driver error. Common causes of negligent driving include:
- Driving under the influence
- Distracted driving
- Fatigue
- Speeding
For example, in one year alone, speeding was a factor in over 12,000 fatalities on U.S. roads, and distracted driving contributed to more than 400,000 accidents. These forms of negligence often lead to more severe crashes, which is why it’s so important for drivers to stay alert and responsible. Negligent drivers can cause accidents that result in significant injuries or even death, making it crucial for victims to have the support they need to recover, including financial assistance.
