Colquitt Co., GA (October 15, 2024) – Two people lost their lives in a traffic accident in Colquitt County. Reports show the incident occurred on Georgia Route 11 near Bob Taylor Road on Sunday, October 13. When the incident occurred, a black Ford F-150 was traveling north on Bob Taylor when it collided with a silver Chrysler Voyager at the intersection with GA 111.
A 34-year-old woman and a 3-year-old child were trapped within the wreckage at the scene. Both were pronounced deceased a short time after the crash. Officials have not yet confirmed if the two were related. At this time, police in Colquitt are working to determine the cause of the incident. The intersection was blocked while responders worked at the scene and local motorists were urged to find different routes for the time being. Police in Colquitt continue to investigate the circumstances leading to the accident.
