Georgia Car Crashes
A significant number of auto accidents are reported in Georgia every year. On average, the state sees around 300,000 car wrecks annually. These accidents result in injuries for more than 150,000 individuals, and sadly, thousands of lives are lost. Unfortunately, most of these wrecks are caused by negligent driving.
Driver negligence has become a critical nationwide concern, particularly in the past decade. Research indicates that over 94% of reported traffic accidents are linked to driver negligence. Common forms of negligent driving include:
- Intoxication
- Distraction
- Fatigue
- Speeding
In one year’s time, speeding caused more than 12,000 deaths in the United States. Additionally, distracted driving was behind over 400,000 accidents that ended in injuries for around 3,000 people. Accidents caused by negligent driving tend to be more severe, underscoring the importance of staying alert and sober behind the wheel.
