Atlanta, GA (June 29, 2025) – A tragic multi-vehicle collision brought traffic to a standstill on Interstates 75 and 85 near 17th Street on Saturday morning, June 28, claiming the life of one man and sending two others to the hospital.

According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers arrived on the scene to find a husband and wife inside one of the vehicles involved. The man was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. His wife, along with a passenger from another vehicle, sustained injuries that were described as non-life-threatening and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities closed both northbound and southbound lanes of the interstate for several hours while investigators worked to document the scene and determine the circumstances that led to the crash. All lanes were reopened by early afternoon.

As of now, officials have not released the identities of those involved, and further details about the cause of the crash remain under investigation.

We want to offer our sincere condolences to the family of the deceased victim. We also wish those hurt a rapid recovery.

Georgia Car Crashes
