Atlanta, GA (June 25, 2025) – A deadly crash early Wednesday morning led to the closure of Interstate 20 westbound for several hours as Atlanta police investigated the Lee Street exit.
The collision occurred at approximately 3:20 a.m., prompting an extensive emergency response and traffic shutdown through the area.
Officials with the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office have confirmed that 35-year-old Lawrence Perrino lost his life in the incident. No additional details regarding the circumstances of the crash have been released at this time.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash. The westbound lanes of I-20 were reopened after the scene was cleared and preliminary investigations concluded.
